For February, we’re highlighting some of our team’s favorite features — some you may know about, and some you may not! These are different aspects of axle ai with one thing in common: they all make it easier for you and your team to work with video, audio and graphics, whether you’re in the office or working remotely.
This week, let’s talk about proxy files…
axle ai makes it radically simple… to work with proxies
One of the first things axle ai does as it catalogs your new media is create low-resolution proxies for fast viewing and sharing- these proxies are the preview files you see in the axle interface. By default, axle produces two proxies at a time; more powerful axle servers can be set to process more concurrent proxies. Occasionally a proxy will need to be regenerated, usually to make adjustments to the existing proxy. Users can select the check box below the chosen proxy, and select Regenerate Proxy in the Action Menu at the top right of the axle interface. Additionally, when a user is adding a large amount of content, they can prioritize certain proxies by selecting the in-progress file (or files) in axle and choosing Regenerate Proxy. This action bumps those files to the top of the queue.
