This month, we’re highlighting some of our team’s favorite features — some you may know about, and some you may not! These are different aspects of axle ai with one thing in common: they all make it easier for you and your team to work with video, audio and graphics, whether you’re in the office or working remotely.
This week, let’s get back to archives…
axle ai makes it radically simple… to start archiving
axle ai’s archive utility works with disk systems, LTO tape drives, cloud storage, or any device of your choosing. The axle system administrator can quickly create archive paths in the administrator pages and enable them for users. The standard axle license allows you to specify a folder or watched location for the archive; advanced options are available to connect your axle system to different archive systems.
Once the admin has enabled the archive, users can archive single or multiple files by using the Action Menu. However, while you free up valuable Tier 1 storage space, the proxy previews and all the metadata tags remain in your axle database, letting you browse and, if needed, restore any archived files you may need in the future.
